Fire Classes
Firefighter I Course Information
Our Firefighter classes typically lasts around 9 to 10 weeks and includes Hazmat Awareness.
You will be able to test for Firefighter 1 written exam and NPQ Skills Exam done by a GFSTC Proctor
You will then be eligble to be a State Certified Firefighter
We have a training staff that will work with you on completing your goal to become a firefighter.
We also offer:
Firefighter II Course: this is a 48 Hour course that includes
Pre-Incident planning and Community Safety Inspections
Flammable Liquids and Pressurized Container
Foam Streams
A deeper understanding of Building Construction and Smoke and Fire Reading
Fire Instructor I and II Course each are about 40 hours with outside of class work required.
Hazmat Awareness and Operations Course
The Awareness Course is and 8 hour course and Hazmat Operations is a 40 hour course
Once you complete the training and taskbook you will be able to take the NPQ written and skills test for these courses
We usually offer these once a year watch our calendar for scheduled courses
EMS Training Courses
We offer Initial Education EMT Courses and Continuing Education Courses for EMS personnel
